John Johns Sr

Co-Owner, Findlay Monuments

For John Johns Sr., the monument business is more than a career—it’s a legacy. Starting at the age of 9, he learned the trade alongside his father and grandfather, carrying forward their dedication to craftsmanship and service. His father’s timeless mantra, “Quality is remembered long after the price,” still guides every decision he makes. Though he’s passed on the hands-on tasks of setting monuments and on-site lettering to the next generation, John remains the heart and soul of the family business, infusing it with his expertise and passion.
A true romantic, John’s love story with his wife Becky began at a roller-skating rink when they were just 16. Their shared passion for skating became a hallmark of their life together, culminating in a wedding night celebration like no other—tuxedo, gown, and a spin on the rink. Once a competitive speed skater, John still relishes the thrill of lacing up his skates and hitting the floor.
Outside of the workshop and the rink, John finds joy in the simpler things—spending time with family and reeling in quiet moments on the water with his fishing pole. His unwavering dedication to family, faith, and quality continues to shape the lasting legacy of Findlay Monuments.

John Johns Jr

Co-Owner, Findlay Monuments

John Johns Jr. is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades at Findlay Monuments, mastering every facet of the business. Whether he’s helping families design the perfect legacy monument, ensuring every engraving, etching, and sandblasting detail meets his exacting standards, or diving into the day-to-day operations, John’s dedication and passion are unmistakable. For him, creating a lasting tribute isn’t just a job—it’s a calling.
Outside of work, John finds his greatest fulfillment in faith, family, and service. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he actively serves his church as a preacher and Bible study leader, inspiring others with his favorite verse, John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
When he’s not at the monument shop or leading in his church, John enjoys coaching high school cross-country. While his running days may be behind him, he still loves encouraging and mentoring young athletes from the sidelines.
With his blend of craftsmanship, faith, and heart for people, John Johns Jr. continues to shape the legacy of Findlay Monuments in meaningful and lasting ways.
